"My visit was with Dr Shields. I needed a root canal done. I have never felt so comfortable in a dental office. (I am a horrible patient) but both Dr. Shields and Jessica made me feel comfortable (Jessica distracted me when getting a shot) and Dr. Shields explained everything that was happening so throughly that it relieved the stress that I had. "I never thought I would have been disappointed to have left a dentist’s office without having to have a root canal — on the day before Thanksgiving, no less — but there’s a first time for everything. When Dr. Shields walked into the room, I could tell almost immediately that she was kind, friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable, straightforward, and honest. The kind of person that will tell you, even if you drove an hour to come see her, that she doesn’t think you need to have any work done right now if you really don’t. I would drive to see her just to get filling if she did that; however, she is not a general dentist so I’ll have to go somewhere else. She gave me a referral for a new dentist which seemed pretty impressive given that I live so far away — she seems to have a good relationship with several dentists in my area — and, at any rate, I can’t wait to go back and see her when it *is* time for that root canal!"
